As a kid I use to lay awake at night staring at the ceiling wondering why the psychical body was so different from the spackle designs on the ceiling, the tree outside, the shadows that were created by the moonlight. I felt that because I could see something I should be able to feel it and move within it at the same time.  There didn’t seem to be a good enough answer as to why I couldn’t feel everything else just as I felt my lungs expand with air.  Then just the very act of wondering this I would then feel the body and soul struggle to separate right before I would astral travel.

Which brings up an interesting question… Is our goal in life to meditate and become one with nothingness? Or is it more simply that we only need to acknowledge that we are the vast nothingness, the emptiness of the universe and we are here to experience and navigate the restrictions of a physical body?
