Reiki

FREE REIKI ALL THE TIME!!! Do you want to receive Reiki healing energy all the time? Would you like it sent to a specific goal, work or relationship?  I would love to add you to a Karuna Reiki Grid.  Karuna Reiki utilizes the power of Quan Yin, Archangels, Spirit Guides and heals on a past life/future life realms and goes so much deeper into healing this life.

WHAT IS REIKI?

It is the only form of energy healing that you can perform on yourself and others without depleting your own energy resources.  It doesn’t require a great amount of concentration or great meditative ability.  As a Reiki practitioner you become a channel for the healing energy to flow through you.  Anyone can learn how to do Reiki, and in a single weekend.  The ability to do Reiki is passed on from teacher to student through an attunement and is then with you always.  It is a technique for reducing stress, creating relations and promoting healing.  The word Reiki means spiritually guided wisdom.

HOW IS REIKI BENEFICIAL?

Reiki works a number of ways.  During a session a Reiki practitioner will work with your aura and/or by the laying on of hands.  Reiki is spiritually guided and cannot do harm.  The healing energy flows into the practitioner’s crown Chakra and through their body’s meridians points (i.e. hands, feet, eyes) to the client.  Both the practitioner and patient benefit from a healing session!  The practitioner does not force the energy into the client.  Rather it is the client that decides the level of Reiki they receive through a change of consciousness.  A simple desire for a healing will bring the restorative power through.

Reiki works on the mind, body and spirit.  As a Reiki practitioner you can work on specific physical ailments like broken bones (after they are set by a physician), headaches, arthritis etc. Reiki is great for starting NEW habits and breaking old ones!  Reiki is also a great tool for clearing unwanted energy from your home, car, office, crystals and food.  Don’t forget about those items you pick up at garage sales.  Just as Reiki is great for clearing energy it is also very powerful in charging item(s) with this incredible energy.  How about charging up the water we drink? I know I do!!

So what else is Reiki good for?  Well, when a student or a friend or someone I’ve just met asks can Reiki be used for ________?  I always have two answers for them.  One is “What do you think?” and “Yes!”

WHAT ARE THE REIKI LEVELS?

Reiki I - Healing yourself and others.

Reiki II - Adds the benefit of 3 Reiki Symbols for power, mental/emotional and distance.

Karuna Reiki Practitioner/Mastery - You become both the practitioner and a master and receive 8 session and 1 master symbol.  You become proficient in giving Karuna Reiki attunements and training current Reiki Masters. Per-requisite is Reiki Mastery.

Origins of Reiki

There has been a lot of speculation about where Reiki came from, but there has been little confirmation of most of these ideas. Some say that Reiki originated from Buddhism or that it contains Buddhist concepts or techniques. I spoke with a Japanese Reiki master who is also a Buddhist and has done historical research into Reiki in Japan. He said that he could see no connection between Reiki and Buddhism and that he felt that Reiki is religiously neutral. While Dr. Usui may have been a Buddhist, he had also studied Christianity and had lived with a Christian family for a time. It is clear he had a very broad background in many religious teachings and philosophies

The clearest and most authentic understanding we have been able to discover is that Dr. Usui originated the system of healing he taught and practiced based first on his mystical experience on Mt. Kurama and then later by making use of his studies in many different areas of knowledge. Usui Reiki has no connection to Buddhism, nor is it connected to Tibetan Buddhism or Tibetan shamanism or any other religion. One of the stories says Dr. Usui discovered the Reiki symbols in a Tibetan sutra, but even though people have carefully looked, no one has been able to find a Tibetan sutra with Reiki symbols in it. This is further validated by Dr. Usui’s own writing in which he says, “Our Reiki Ryoho is something absolutely original and cannot be compared with any other (spiritual) path in the world.” (Taken from his Reiki Ryoho Handbook).

DR. USUI

Dr. Usui discovered Reiki during a mystical experience on Mt. Kurama, a sacred mountain north of Kyoto, Japan in March, 1922. A few months later he started a Reiki organization called the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai which means “Usui Reiki Healing Society.” He also opened a Reiki clinic in Harajuku, Aoyama, Tokyo. There he taught classes and gave Reiki treatments. After the Great Kanto earthquake in 1923 the demand for Reiki was great and it was at this time that Usui began training other teachers.
